My Way of Thinking

Hope

Give them set backs, mighty tasks and seemingly impossible moments filled with despair. I can take it; even relish in the moment. What would be the point of the characters if not to show us that we should never give up no matter the difficulties.

Love

I love this whole mixing of genres, romance with paranormal and all that. It is awesome, my favorite part of books when I was young was always the budding romances. I seek them out page by page. Now that doesn't mean I want to read beyond the budding part; too many details and certainly spoiling the fun. A little angst, sure, I'm down, but lets leave out the gritty details.

Happy Endings

I am somewhat sorry to say this, but the truth is I am a bit biased. The ending of a story should be good conquers all. Escape and good entertainment is what I seek from a book. So realistic endings or, more especially, bad guy exits stage laughing maniacally while good guys take last breath is not my thing. Plus, last impressions really stick with me. End the book bad and that is what I remember most, not the awesome story or stellar characters, just crushing despair and the futility of it all.
