TBR Pile Challenge

This is the list of books I am challenging myself to read over the next quarter. They are all sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. The physical copies have been sitting on the shelf for a year now. Time to clear out.

Physical copies:
Incarnate by Jodi Meadows
The Taker by Alma Katsu
Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
The Alchemy of Forever by Avery Williams
A Touch Mortal by Leah Clifford
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Touch by Jus Accardo
Angel Fire by L. A. Weatherly
Darkness Falls by Cate Tiernan

ARCs:
Starters by Lissa Price
Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

Right now I am focusing on shrinking my physical TBR pile. Once I get through this pile I might try my eBook pile. Depends on how long it takes me to get rid of this pile.

I don't think I will be reading these in order. Many of them have sequels coming soon so they will likely take precedence. Some of I just lost complete interest in. After a while I am beginning to think that it was a bad purchase on my part. It really isn't something I am interested in and should check it out to be sure. Then I can get rid of it.

TBR September: eBook Challenge

Part of me really wants to focus on the last four ARCs on my shelf. I am so close to freedom I can almost taste it. But at the same time I have recently been brought to the harsh realization that my ebook pile is colossal. This is a thing that should never have happened. I believe that this has come about as a result of me picking up a free read here and there. Apparently free reads are much like pennies. They add up really fast and take up some serious space.

Glamorous Illusions by Lisa T. Bergren
Untraceable by S. R. Johannes
The Secrets of the Vanmars by Elisabeth Wheatley
Shift by Kim Curran
Blackwood by Gwenda Bond
Untouched by Jus Accardo
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Vesper by Jeff Sampson
Ruby by Amanda Burke

Shadow of the Sun by Laura Kreitzer
The New World by Patrick Ness
Moon Spell by Samantha Young
Jenny Pox by J.L. Bryan
Heavenly by Jennifer Laurens
Haunted Destiny by Ellie James
Fallen From Grace by M. J. Putney
Exiled by M. R. Merrick
Beasts and BFFs by Shannon Delany
The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen
Alias Dragonfly by Jane Singer
The Healer's Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson
A Strange Fire by L. H. Cosway
Clockwise by Elle Strauss

Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill
Speed of Light by Amber Kizer

On top of this monstrous problem I have a Kobo I want to get rid of. I wonder if I should do it as a giveaway. Do you think there are people who are interested in a Kobo ereader?

Care to help me navigate through this mess? Or would you like to join me in my crusade against my ebook pile?

Go ahead and challenge me to read a particular book out of the pile. It looks like I need all the help I can get.

TBR August: ARC Challenge Finish Line

I am tired of seeing these ARCs sitting up on the shelf. They must go!

Here is the list I have starting at the beginning of the month:

The Dark Unwinding
Purity
The Difference Between You and Me
Breaking Beautiful
Blessed
Poison Princess
Keeper of the Lost Cities
Bewitching
Trail of the Spellmans
Glow
After Obsession
Eve
Pandemonium

Not too bad! I only left four untouched. I still want to get rid of them but at least they don't make up such an imposing percentage of the TBR pile anymore.

Which group of books will I target next?

TBR August: ARC Challenge

I have laid down a challenge for myself to unburden my shelf. Yes, this is an ongoing challenge. It all started last Christmas when I started a three month super book splurge. On top of some very heavy loans from the library and friends. There was also an unhealthy amount of reviews being done on request. The pile grew to monstrous proportions. Really unbelievable! Plus I kept adding a few more here and there. So for the past three months I have been trying to dig myself out. I started by cutting back on review requests and library lending. I LOVE the library and have a really hard time not picking up a pile of new books every time I go, which is often. I also tried scheduling myself to keep order to the chaos. All of my efforts have stemmed the growth of the pile and maybe shrunk it infinitesimally. More measures must be taken!!!

Currently my focus is on reading all the ARCs. I am ready to give them all away. But first I need to either read them or decide to pass.

Here is the list I have starting at the beginning of the month:

The Dark Unwinding
Purity
The Difference Between You and Me
Breaking Beautiful
Blessed
Poison Princess
Keeper of the Lost Cities
Bewitching
Trail of the Spellmans
Glow
After Obsession
Eve
Pandemonium

Not too bad as far as progress so far. But don't get to excited for me succeeding. I may or may not have checked out more books at the library yesterday.
