Book Blogger Hop: 3/25

Book Blogger Hop

"If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?"

Doesn't that question break the rules of separation of reality and fiction?  I am always telling my husband he has nothing to be jealous of, when it comes to the books I read.  They aren't real.  I don't go fantasizing about myself with any of these characters.

Plus, every time I am reading I book I feel like I am living in it.  Maybe, I just have an overactive imagination.  So, sadly I couldn't pick just one since I haven't yet found just one book that can always satisfy my reading craving.

The next book I am hoping will be an all out great experience is Shadowspell by Jenna Black.

  4. There are a ton of interesting worlds I'd like to visit if I had the chance for real - but I think I'd have to say Harry Potter is right up there on the top of my list. It's so complex and magical and awesome! I know I'd fit right in there.

  5. Hi, I'm hopping by and following you now, too. :) I had a hard time picking just one book for this. I'm the same way - I feel like I'm living in whatever (good) book I happen to be reading.

  6. Apologies in advance for my answer this week as it will not immediately resonate with the book blogger population which happens to be 99.5% female.

My choice is a book series geared towards guys which won’t enthrall the vast majority of my fellow book bloggers (who are almost entirely female) with the extensive discussion of powerful weapons and sexy milspec gear, beautiful women, eye-popping action sequences (with occasionally obscene violence), and the like.

But there IS something in my answer that just about everyone of the female persuasion can benefit from my decidedly “books for guys” post. Hop on over to http://www.howardsherman.net to find out what it is.

    Happy Hop Friday!

  7. I don't fantasize about joining the literary world, but don't you fall into it? Aren't their stories that are so captivating you can't help but imagine you are there living along side it?

I do, I know I have read something wonderful when I can smell the surroundings and feel the emotions of each character.

But that the great thing about reading! Everyone takes something different from it!

  9. Hi, just hopping on by! I agree with you about how with every book, it's sort of like you ARE physically living in it. I had a lot of trouble choosing mine, but I finally settled on the classic Harry Potter.
