Spring Blog Carnival: Horse Racing Booth

*****!!RACE CLOSED!!*****
*SATURDAY RACE*
*SUNDAY RACE*
**Do Not Enter in this post!!!**
Who doesn't love a little carnival fun. I sure haven't outgrown my love for carnival games. Lori over at Pure Imagination along with Angela from Reading Angel and Candace from Candace’s Book Blog are throwing the second annual Spring Blog Carnival. I have joined up with them to host a booth. This is likely all stuff you know if you are following along by linky.

Step right up
Only one comment to enter a bet
Just answer the question:
What was or is your favorite carnival game?
Fill out the form so I can keep track and have a way to contact the winner.
We have a lovely copy of The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater as a prize

There are four horses that will be racing today. Bet for your favorite one. If the horse you chose wins your entry will be placed in the pot to win the prize at the end of the carnival. Sorry only the winners advance to the final round here. So choose wisely! There will be a new race each day this week. Come back each day this week to bet on the new horses. You are allowed to enter once each day. That means seven different comments and seven different bets. There might be a way to tip the race in your favor. Spread the word any way you can. Encourage your friends to come and bet on your horse as well.

Todays horses are:

Bloodlines jockeyed by Richelle Mead

Blood Red Road jockeyed by Moira Young

Sweet Evil jockeyed by Wendy Higgins

Grave Mercy jockeyed by R.L. LaFevers
They are ready to race so hurry and get your bets in. Which horse is your favorite or is the most likely to come out the winner?

Remember you must comment below for your bet to count and fill out the form.

The results of the race will be posted the following day before the new race starts.

Here is an example of a Tweet:

Spring Blog Carnival is under way and the horse races have begun. I put my money on BLOODLINES for the win. http://hopelovehappyendings.blogspot.com/

You would obviously change out the name of the horse if BLOODLINES isn't your choice.

A recap:
You can comment once each day and place a corresponding bet on that day's race.
A total of seven possible entries if you come back each day and your horse wins.
The entries for the winning horses each day will be placed in the pot and one will win the prize.
They will be contacted by email and have 48 hours to respond.

One more time:
Comment + Form = Bet
Winning Horse Bets = Entry for Prize
Losing Horse Bets = Sorry No Luck
(7) Races  (7) Days  (7) Comments  (7) Bets

Today's comment question is:
What was or is your favorite carnival game?

Fill out the form to record your bet.

****One more thing don't record your bet in the comments section only in the form.****

Good luck and may your horse be swift of feet!

Now head on over and enjoy some of the other carnival booths.

    1. Don't give away who you bet for in the comments but otherwise perfect.
I always like ring toss but couldn't play because I could never land one of those rings. Very frustrating and I am a sore loser.

    1. Not sure I have seen the Wheel of Fortune carnival game. Hmm, I will have to keep an eye out.

  3. Not a game, but I love the ferris wheel! My race pick is Grave Mercy.

    1. I always loved the look of the ferris wheel but once I was on I started to get bored. It just moved so slow for me. Give me a ride like the Rocket and I am a happy camper.

  4. I love that game where you knock tin cans down....not quite sure what it's called! My pick is Bloodlines...picking this because...I LOVE ADRIAN! :D

    1. Yeah, milk cans I think are what you knock down. That game always looked so easy but I could never manage to win the prize.

  5. I can't remember which horse I bet on.

I loved carnival games! I've got to go with the ring toss. :)

  6. I already have Scorpio Races, so I don't want to take someone else's chance to win an awesome book. But I wanted to stop by and say I LOVE your booth - so creative! Kudos for all the work you're doing to run it.

Hope to see you 'round the carnival. My Arts & Crafts booth is over here: http://anonymeet.livejournal.com/16249.html

  7. Grave Mercy, because I've read none of them and that horse was the prettiest:)

    1. Sweet! I was wondering if the horses looked dumb and it was a waste of my time to put the covers on the horse. Thanks and good luck.

    1. Okay, so ring toss seems to be game of the day. Do you win a lot at the ring toss game? Is that why you like it or is it more the playing of the game?

    1. And my favourite game is the one where you drop a coin into the machine and the little bulldozer comes forward and if it pushed any coins over the edge, you win them. I hope you know what I mean because I don't know the name of it!

      Delete
    2. I know what you mean. I always think I am going to win so many coins playing that game. It is amazing how few actually get dislodged with each pass.

  10. I loved tossing ping pong balls into fishbowls. Sadly, the fish only lived a few days...

    1. I never did win a fish and I was always jealous of those who did. Now I won't feel so bad as I would be sad to watch all the fish die. Tossing ping pong balls into fish bowls sounds fun. Do the balls easily bounce out?

  11. My favorite game was the one where you throw darts at balloons to pop them for a prize! I was never quite good but I always got a small prize :)

And I bet for Blood Red Road!

    1. YES!!! Finally, that is my absolute favorite carnival game. I love balloon toss! What is not to love? It is a game of destruction with a lovely popping sound. So awesome, especially since I didn't have to blow up and tie all the balloons.

  12. My favorite game was always the little duckie pond where you picked up a duck to see if you won or not.

    1. I have never tried that one. Sounds like a game of chance more than skill. Nice.

    1. Wahaha! I now know just what carnival game I must man should the opportunity ever arise. Obviously the ring toss booth is the most liked.

  14. My favourite carnival game was Whack-A-Mole! I was always really good at it!

    1. That one always made me feel a bit silly since I was mostly hitting air.

  15. I was never very good at carnival games. I do like the Whack-A-Mole as a great way to work out hostilities. However, I am always too slow.

    1. I understand slow but it does sound like a great way to work out my pent up frustrations.

  16. I hate carnival games. They cost money and I always lose. Meh! Thus, I love the rides.

My horse is Bloodlines, although I wish I'd read the comments first.

    1. Yep, not only do they cost money but they are calculated to give you little opportunity to win.

  17. My favorite carnival game would be the one where you throw a ball at a target and if you hit it, the person on the ramp falls into the water tank lol it's always a good laugh!

    ReplyDelete

    1. And your worst nightmare is being that person getting repetively dunked.

  18. My favorite game is the one where you throw the darts at the balloons! Its usually pretty fun!

    1. Yes! I have found another great minded individual. Balloon Darts is the best. I totally wanted to host that booth but couldn't think of any balloon related books.

  22. I loved the 'throwing darts at balloons' game. I have always loved shooting darts!

Your game is the funnest so far, I think! Everyone loves a good horse race. =O) Thanks for the chance!

  23. I've never really been allowed to go to carnivals... But when I do, I always love the dart throw! I'm terrible at it, I've even almost hit the attendant on accident once, but I keep trying!

    1. Wow, that is awesome. They probably weren't so keen on pushing you into buying another ticket. More like please don't take out my eye.

  24. My favorite game is the one where you throw a ball at the pins and try to knock them all down I don't know what it is called!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. My favorite carnival game is ironically the horse race one where you roll a ball to get your horse to move.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I feel less lame now since I'm not the only one - my favorite is the rubber ducky game: I have no skills what so ever and never win at anything except games, like rubber ducky, where everyone wins something! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like throwing ball at target who sits above the water. I remember many years ago that booth was the most crowded because the target was my teacher. Many friends tried to make him down and one succeed. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  28. I've always liked to throw things. :D So anything that involves tossing is a favorite. :D Fun horse rase! Thanks for the booth! I'm really excited to read The Scorpio Races sometime.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I like Blood Red Road the most out of all four and I'm really excited to read Grave Mercy, but I feel like Bloodlines is the most popular one up there.

My favorite carnival game was the one where you get some darts to throw at balloons. I wasn't that good at it, but I usually got at least a little prize which made me feel great. I love carnivals. They're so much fun. I prefer them over roller coasters because heights scare me.

  30. My favorite game was skee ball.
